Reaching your goal is not the end!

Hello Everyone!

Unfortunately it is the last post on my blog because we have concluded all the assignments of this subject. It was a nice journey where we experienced new things and we taught that we can achieve a lot by putting little efforts. When we start working on something new there are specific goals in our minds. Our goal was to implement technology in our teaching process. I think that we have reached that goal, but this doesn't mean that we are done.  On the contrary, we should take it as an opportunity to move on and to implement it whenever we need. I wish everyone of you Good Luck in the direction you have chosen to follow. There are many new challenges waiting for us so be prepared.

Peer Review Partner

Hello Friends!

Hope you are overcoming these hot days and everything is going well with your assignments.

The post for this week is about choosing another partner for our final report and her task is to correct all our mistakes in our essay. I have chosen Eljada Muhametaj as a peer review and I will correct her mistakes too. All of us must publish their report in the Dropbox account and then they choose their partner to correct their grammatical, vocabulary mistakes and the organization of the paragraphs.  

Eljada's task is to review my essay and emphasize some important points where could I improve my writing and to put the events in a chronological order. We will do it through track changes and then upload our report.

Peer Review Partner

Hello Dear Colleagues!

Today my post is about my partner Sidorela as I collaborated with her in my final project. Working with her made me feel very comfortable and having self –esteem. She was the first to start with the lesson and presenting the main objectives. Her presentation was very clear and given out smoothly. I enjoyed working with her and sharing a lot of ideas. I would call her the best partner for sharing some work because she is so patient and easy going person. When we discussed about the topic it was easy to find information and to share as many ideas we could. I must admit that I find difficult to share my work with others since I prefer to work individually, but in this case she made it to me easier.

Describing the steps we followed for our presentation, to mention the technological devices we used.

Hello Everyone!
Unfortunately we are reaching the end because this is the 10-th week that we have been writing in our blog. For this week everyone of us has to keep some kind of a journal in  order to put the steps in a chronological order. For those who hasn't finished with the project is very helpful, because they can establish the order they want to follow during their teaching. I think it is great because it is some kind of a diary that teachers keep always to plan their lesson. Before we start with teaching we need to clarify the objectives for our class, also to plan different exercises to reveal if they were following us during the explanation. As I have mentioned it we had to teach a part of grammar that is why we used different tools, starting with the blackboard and then with the emaze a great application which made our project more interesting. Teaching includes different elements because you have different characters in the class and you have to manage any kind of situation. That's why I think it is a thick line between what is said in theory and what is done in practice.

Resources and Activities in our Final Project

Before starting with the presentation of the 9-th week assignment I would like to wish you

To refine our project by using multimedia we had also to use different activities that will help us in our teaching process.Me and my colleague wanted to use different forms to present our activities to our students. To make the lesson attractive we have chosen an interesting video that will test different skills that they possess. We find exercises very helpful because teachers need them to understand if their students have been attentive. Activities are a good way in engaging our students because they will think all the time how to solve the exercises.Furthermore, the teacher should know the level of the learners in order to select the exercises. Technology gives you a lot of opportunities to activate the class and to make use of different games. The more activities you use the more you will know about your students skills. Activities develop also the critical thinking because they want to solve correctly all types of exercises. The whole class tends to participate and actively engage in different exercises that the teacher might have created for them. The most important thing relies upon the student if they find the activities enjoyable and rewarding for their learning process.

How do media elements influence our teaching? Which are some of the problems that teachers are facing in the real classrooms?

Hello Again 
As every Monday, I am sharing my opinion and discussing about the assignment for this week.We have to treat another issue related with our final project. The media elements that we will use in our traditional classrooms and also the problems that teachers face in their classrooms. The most important part of our project is technology; How will technology help us in teaching and learning? To use multimedia effectively in our classrooms we should know what our students need to learn.In fact,my topic has become more interesting by using different technological tools and I have used an incredible online application Emaze. Me and my partner could create different things to explain our lesson in a variety of ways. As I mentioned it in our dropbox account teachers encounter countless of problems in their classes but it is important to know the way how to manage these problems. Sometimes we hear that teachers has problems with the bad behaviour and the disrespect that students show in the class environment. Motivation is the key where to find the answer for all the problems that teachers encounter in different schools.Students are not motivated to learn, in this way they are distracted by doing other things excluding lesson.

The ESL Skills

Hello!
Here we are again by completing the 7-th week assignment by determining the ESL skills for our learners.I have chosen to teach the grammar skills since it is important for them and they need to use it in different dimensions of the English language. I think that our topic will help them a lot in distinguishing the difference between countable and uncountable nouns. Sometimes they encounter difficulties in this part of grammar since English has a large lexicon and many confusing nouns.They need all the 21-st skills such as reading, speaking. writing and listening but they won't be able to put them in use without knowing the grammar rules.
